Kylie Minogue is throwing a huge party to celebrate two decades of pop success. The diminutive star will reportedly splash out £500,000 on the star-studded bash, set to coincide with the 20th anniversary of her first single 'Loco-Motion' topping the Australian charts on August 3.
Kylie plans to invite a host of musical stars and celebrities, as well as the friends, family and past-loves to the event.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "The date of the party is really significant to Kylie. When 'Loco-Motion' went to No.1 in Australia on August 3, 1987, it was the start of something special. She is even flying in old mates from Australia and begging her two grandmothers to make the long trip from Melbourne."
Kylie certainly has plenty to celebrate. The 39-year-old recently battled breast cancer and will launch a new album in December ahead of her 2008 world tour.
The source added: "In some ways, it's a celebration of the fact she has resumed her place in the music world after her illness. It's also a chance for her to thank all the people who assisted and encouraged her."
The party is set to take place in a secret London location.
Kylie has been seen checking out venues in Shoreditch and Canary Wharf.
